In 2018, I collaborated with the Year 3 & 4 students of Collingwood College and Bus Projects, an artist-run organisation dedicated to supporting the critical, conceptual and interdisciplinary practices of Australian artists.

Over 6 months, I talked with students about games and playfulness – how changing the rules of a game changes the way we feel when we play, how popular digital games are made, how to turn everyday objects into fun games. Students made playable board games, put together a festival showcasing their creations, and wrote and illustrated Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style digital stories. The collaboration culminated in an exhibition at Bus Projects gallery called New Objectives.

A special thank you to Nina Mulhall from Bus Projects for organising and producing the program.
This project was supported by Creative Victoria through a Creative Learning Partnerships Grant.
